2 10 Ton Trane Valent Systems with Hot Gas Reheat and Custom Metal Duct Work

Star Quality Air Conditioning is pleased to share a recent commercial HVAC project completed in Vero Beach, FL by Star Quality Air Conditioning. This full commercial installation included two 10-ton Trane Valent systems and a hot gas reheat feature to improve humidity control in the conditioned space.

The core of the project was the installation of the two 10-ton Trane Valent units. These systems were selected for their capacity and reliability in commercial settings, and were placed and secured according to manufacturer specifications and local code. The hot gas reheat option was integrated into the systems to give the building better control over indoor humidity, which is especially important in the Florida climate.

Alongside the equipment installation, the project required a custom ductwork solution. Our team designed and fabricated metal ductwork tailored to the building layout to ensure balanced distribution of air. Custom ductwork helps avoid airflow restrictions and minimizes pressure imbalances, contributing directly to overall system efficiency and occupant comfort.

Fabrication took place offsite to precise dimensions, then the sections were delivered and installed on site. Careful attention was paid to sealing and support so the ducts would maintain performance over time. Properly designed metal ductwork also simplifies future maintenance and reduces the chance of leaks or energy loss.

The integration of hot gas reheat provides a practical way to control humidity without overcooling the space. Instead of lowering air temperature to remove moisture, the system can reheat a portion of the conditioned air, maintaining comfort while keeping relative humidity at acceptable levels. This method is particularly useful in coastal climates where high humidity is common.

Throughout the project, Star Quality Air Conditioning followed industry best practices for commercial installs, coordinating equipment placement, duct routing, and system controls to work together as a complete solution. The result is a packaged commercial HVAC installation that delivers the cooling capacity needed for the facility, with added humidity control and efficient airflow thanks to the custom metal ductwork.

Star Quality Air Conditioning recognizes the importance of matching equipment and ductwork to each building. This Vero Beach, FL project demonstrates how proper system selection, careful installation, and custom duct design come together to improve comfort and performance in a commercial setting.
